Aaron Sents, PA-C

Aaron Sents, PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) earned his Master of Medical Science degree from Yale University in 2022. He completed undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (Public Health) from Old Dominion University in 2019. His career as a Physician Assistant began in Emergency Medicine working full-time at Maryview Medical Center, where he continues to work part-time.

His medical experience and interests were developed during a ten-year career in the Navy, which culminated as a Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman with the Marine Forces Special Operations Command in Camp Lejeune, NC.

He is dedicated to improving the health of his community and is committed to supporting it. By implementing the Hampton Roads Primary Care vision, he empowers patients through education to enhance their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He is currently accepting new patients.

Laurie A. Salerno, ANP-BC

Laurie A. Salerno, ANP-BC (Adult Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified) earned her Master of Science degree in Adult Nurse Practitioner studies from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she conducted research on cardiac rehabilitation for heart failure patients. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY.

Laurie brings an exceptional depth of experience to Hampton Roads Primary Care, with 17 years as a registered nurse and an additional 17 years as a nurse practitioner, the majority of which were spent at Buffalo General Medical Center. There, she helped establish an outpatient center for heart and lung patients that included a training component for medical students and residents, while concurrently maintaining a private internal medicine and cardiology practice for 12 years.

Her clinical expertise spans primary care and cardiac nursing, with a particular passion for heart failure management, nutrition, and preventive care. She has a strong commitment to whole-person wellness, emphasizing practical, food-based approaches to managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.

Laurie is committed to serving her community both inside and outside the clinic. She has participated in medical missions to Haiti and Nicaragua and brings that same spirit of dedicated service to every patient she sees at Hampton Roads Primary Care. She is currently accepting new patients.
